Description:
Repairs, maintains and installs production machinery, solving complex problems primarily on electrical/electronic systems. Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installation of machinery relating to food processing equipment, physical structures, mechanical and electrical systems.
1) Performs a wide variety of diagnostic activities, methods, procedures and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul and maintain various types of machines, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems and operations
• Applies knowledge of PLC, servo drives and servo motors errors
• Studies blueprints and manufacturer's manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Fabricates small parts as needed to minimize downtime
2) Executes on preventive maintenance schedules to ensure uptime/downtime targets are achieved
• Controls downtime by partnering with production and scheduling teams to exchange information on mechanical issues
3) Ensures effective communication between shifts and teams by following documentation procedures and standards
4) Ensures all maintenance activities are in compliance with federal, state and local laws and codes, as well as company policies which govern safety, food safety
• Observes good manufacturing practices
• Understands and applies safety practices, and works to develop a basic understanding of OSHA
• Ensures that safety is given top priority in work execution, including Arc/Shock Hazard safety, confined spaces, lockdowns, Hazardous materials, hard tools safety, etc.
5) Partners with engineering team to align on operation of new machinery
• Works with broader engineering team to discuss machine operations, repairs, etc., to ensure optimal maintenance schedules and outcomes
6) Performs other duties as required

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Candidate must have either EXPERIENCE(preferred) or a vocational certification.
-5+ years of electro-mechanical experience
-A good understanding of PLCs (They aren't necessarily looking for programmers just a candidate who can identify any issues, but does not necessarily need to know how reprogram/ fix issues)(Able to look at IO and see input/output)(Mainly troubleshooting)
-Will be working with Low Voltage only up to 480
-Food Manufacturing background would be most ideal (or pharmaceutical) either or is required
Work Environment
Currently have openings on all shifts
Client can be flexible with start times after candidates have completed training. During training candidates are required to start at set start times. May need candidates to be open to training on day shift but can accommodate training on other shifts.
1st Shift: 4am start time. (Can be flexible once trained 4am-7am)
2nd Shift: 1pm start time. (Can be flexible once trained 1pm-3pm) +50 cents pay differential
3rd Shift: 8:30pm start time. (Can be flexible once trained 8:30pm-10pm) +$1 pay differential (Urgent need on Graveyard)
8 hr shifts
Day Shift candidates need to be strong in controls.
Hot/ Cold Environment
Predominantly a Spanish speaking environment (Spanish speaking candidates must speak/write at least 5/10 in English)
Food Manufacturing Environment- GMP, refrigerated areas, hairnets, gloves, protective glasses, smocks
Each Maintenance Tech will have a tool box provided to them that they share with other Maintenance Techs on different shifts (3 per toolbox max)
