Job Summary

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified .NET Tech Lead with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications.

Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Our engineers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we're doing wrong, so we can fix it, and what we're doing right, so we can improve on it. Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until July 3rd .

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000.00 – $ depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced geospatial solutions using .NET Framework 3.5/4.0, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Design and develop web applications using .NET Web Programming techniques to meet project requirements.
  • Create robust windows applications applying .NET Windows Programming, enhancing user experience and functionality.
  • Apply best practices in programming and software development to contribute to the teams efficiency and code quality.
  • Manage and optimize databases using SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Use .NET Development Tools and Best Practices to streamline development processes and improve software quality.
  • Provide application support, solving issues to ensure continuous system availability.
  • Design databases with a focus on database design principles, ensuring data is structured for optimal access and performance.
  • Implement services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to enable secure and reliable communication between applications.
  • Lead the design and architecture of .NET applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and meet business requirements.
  • Develop front-end interfaces using ReactJS, creating responsive and user-friendly web applications.
  • Leverage Azure cloud services to deploy and manage applications, enhancing scalability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the newest technologies and trends in geospatial development, applying innovative solutions to complex problems.
Key Qualifications:
  • 10 years of demonstrable experience in .NET Framework fundamentals, web and windows programming.
  • Skills: .Net Frmwrk fndmntls 3.5/4.0, .NET Web Prog 3.5/4.0, .NET Windows Prog 3.5/4.0, Programming / Software Dev., Sql Server, .NET Dev Tools & Best Practice, Application Support, Database Design, WCF, .NET Design and Architecture, React JS, Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and database design principles.
  • Experience with WCF and .NET design and architecture.
  • Proficiency in ReactJS and familiarity with Azure cloud services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment and communicate effectively.
