Join us.Our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team combines software and systems to create and run large, distributed systems reliably. In this team, youll use your skills in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and system design to handle scaling issues. We value diversity, curiosity, problem-solving, teamwork, and independence.
As a Technical Lead Manager, youll lead a group of software/system engineers. Youll provide technical leadership, build a robust team, and establish efficient processes, all the while focusing on top-quality engineering. Regular interaction with other teams and our users will be a key part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Hire and lead a team of 812 engineers to design, develop, and operate largescale cloud infrastructure.
- Give technical leadership and support to your team and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with different teams and stakeholders in areas like Advertising, Machine Learning, and Ecommerce.
- Promote innovative practices in the team, introducing new ideas and cuttingedge technologies.
- A minimum of three years of experience hiring and managing teams of eight or more engineers.
- Minimum of seven years of work experience in software development or SRE, particularly in the design, building, scaling, and troubleshooting of cloud systems.
- Solid handson experience and understanding of system architecture and performance bottlenecks in at least one of these areas: Database (SQL/Non-SQL), Kubernetes, or Big Data processing and storage systems, for both streaming and batch scenarios.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in collaborating with various stakeholders like development teams, product teams, data scientists, and leadership.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of leading initiatives to automate tasks and improve efficiency and quality.
- Demonstrable experience in cost management and optimization, supported by a record of datadriven decision making and process improvement.
