Operations Support Specialist

As an Operations Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing office administration support by scheduling, coordinating, and assisting meetings and administrative tasks for the Production Team.

If you've ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI). Better yet, become one CPI has an immediate need for an Operations Support Specialist in CPI's Georgetown, Texas location.

As a Production Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing office administration support to the Production Team. Schedules and coordinates meetings and conference calls. Responsible for making travel arrangements. Assists employees by retrieving production reports from ERP system. As needed, may perform tasks in support of Safety Program. Prepares Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations as required by Production Manager. Processes employee timecards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Prints out daily production reports such as: Backlog, Open Orders, ATP and Work Center reports. Makes copies of reports and distributes to production team members.
  2. Assists Production Manager in the preparation of Production Planning, Capacity and Efficiency spreadsheets.
  3. Takes minutes on Safety Committee Meetings and updates the Safety Corrective Action spreadsheet. Enters safety issues from audit reports into COGZ. Compiles ASAP audit results.
  4. Performs safety audits and completes APT-grams as required by Production Manager.
  5. Retrieves quality complaints from the system and provides order ship date and other details for the production team to review.
  6. Prints out PM jobs to be completed by Maintenance and Production. Enters completed jobs in the COGZ system. Informs the Production Manager of any PM jobs that are past due.
  7. Prepares purchase requisitions for Production and Maintenance Departments. Follows up with Procurement team on pending purchase orders, as necessary.
  8. Reviews CRA inventory on a daily basis and informs production team of any product that can be used against customer orders.
  9. Contacts TSG on behalf of Production for engineering drawings, BOM's, AIS, etc.
  10. Prepares reports and/or presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software. Graphs key metrics for Production as required.
  11. Creates Tera Frame folders for production team.
  12. Reviews production employee time cards on a daily basis and makes adjustments in Paycom per Production Manager's instructions, so payroll can be processed. Updates Attendance Log.
  13. Keeps track of approved employee PTO and informs Production Manager of the employees that are scheduled to be out each day.
  14. Schedules and coordinates meetings and conference calls using the Phone Bridge, Webex and/or video conference equipment. Makes travel arrangements for production team members.
  15. Maintains all filing systems. These include production and quality reports and other departmental documentation. Maintains training records in HCM for all production employees.
  16. Assists Production Manager with the paperwork associated with the hiring of temporary employees. Coordinates interview schedules for Production positions. Conducts orientations for new hires.
  17. Coordinates the assignment of lockers to production employees.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
