Day to Day Responsibilities:

• The intern will be a part of team looking at high reflectivity materials for solar applications
• The day-to-day responsibilities will be to prepare samples for testing, submit samples to appropriate groups for measurement and characterization, and to report out data to the group
• A final report is expected

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

• 9am-5pm (flex-time may vary)

Education and Experience:

• Current college undergraduate in a technical field (engineering, materials science)
• Intro materials science class required
• Critical thinking Hands-on ability
• Enthusiasm for new topics
• Organized Ability to interact with team
• Clear communicator of data, observations
• Microsoft Office applications
• Matlab

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with optical properties of materials
• Familiarity with glass, ceramics

Soft Skills:

• Desire to take responsibility for their own workstream
• Clear communicator

​The range for this position is $1, $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
