Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

• Develop computational model and tool for material screen and discovery using machine leaning and molecular simulation with material and chemistry knowledge incorporations.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• The intern will be a part of team developing computational model and tool for material discovery.
• The day-to-day responsibilities will be to understand material, develop model and algorithm, write codes for implementation, and deliver tool.
• A final report is expected.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

• 40 hours/week

Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration):

• Current college graduate in a technical field (engineering, math, materials science).
• Computational modeling
• Machine learning
• Molecular simulation
• Coding and algorithm development
• Presentation & Critical thinking
• Enthusiasm for new topics
• Meticulous,and organized
• Ability to interact with team

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with materials discovery
• Familiarity with probability and statistics

Soft Skills (Communication/Team/Leadership):

• Desire to take responsibility for their own workstream.
• Clear communicator

​The range for this position is $1, $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
