Job Title: Commercial Marketing Manager-Clinical Oncology Research

Location: Remote

Purpose Statement

The Commercial Marketing Manager, Clinical Oncology for IDT's global marketing organization, is responsible for leading cross functional efforts between product management, R&D, marketing, and sales to address customer needs within the clinical oncology research market segment and using that knowledge and experience to develop and execute marketing and product launch campaigns that drive IDT awareness and revenue. Candidates must demonstrate in-depth knowledge and significant experience with all facets of marketing and the clinical oncology research space to collaborate effectively with customers and internal IDT associates. This role involves managing and influencing cross-functional teams — successful candidates will have great leadership and communications skills.

Job Specific Duties/Essential Functions

Possess an expert level understanding of customer needs within the Clinical Oncology market segment, through direct customer contact and primary and secondary research. Lead the collaboration with IDT Product Marketing/Management, Product Development, and Project Management — as well as with Global Sales and Regional Marketing — to develop accurate marketing personas, effective customer segmentation strategies, insightful buyer journeys, and useful value propositions and key messages specific to the clinical oncology market segment. Convert customer and market insight into core marketing briefs and strategic marketing plans that drive successful lead generation and product launch campaigns. Collaborate with and direct content writers, branding and public relations, collateral design, and search engine optimization experts to ensure that campaign tactics match market segment needs. Work with third parties to drive product awareness and positioning. Partner with digital marketing, marketing automation, and web development experts to ensure that marketing campaigns are executed well and in a timely fashion. Work with IDT leadership to support joint business activities and partnerships with key customers and industry groups. Own and be accountable for the success of marketing campaigns by using advanced digital tagging and metrics to ensure that key performance indicators are met, and campaigns demonstrate a positive return on investment.

Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration (Required vs. Preferred)

  • 4-year degree in life sciences required
  • MBA or advanced life sciences degree (Masters, PhD) preferred

Professional Experience (Required vs. Preferred)

  • 7+ years of experience in some combination of life sciences marketing and/or laboratory experience, with demonstrated focus on oncology translational and clinical research
  • 5+ years' Clinical oncology market segment (end-to-end clinical workflow from sample to information, guidelines, regulatory requirements)
  • Domain expertise in the application of NGS molecular biology workflows as they relate to Oncology translational and clinical research. Additional familiarity with PCR, CRISPR, and Synthetic Biology a plus.
  • Intimate understanding of business drivers in clinical oncology space such as reimbursements, supply chain security, cost per sample, etc.
  • Extensive experience with defining marketing strategy and creating marketing campaigns and marketing plans required
  • Experience with marketing regulated IVD products preferred.

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) conducts drug screens and background checks on applicants who accept employment offers.

The salary range for this role is $125-$140K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
