In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
We are looking for a Portfolio Engineering Lead for our Airborne Tactical Radios (ATR) Product Area as part of the C4ISR Systems Adaptive Communications and Sensing (AC&S) Product Line.
The Airborne Tactical Radios Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) will be the overall Engineering Lead of a portfolio of programs, focusing on program execution, new business growth, product leverage, talent development, and continuous improvement. The PEL acts as an engineering partner to the Product Area Director. The PEL helps define technical strategies for competitive bids, customer engagement, and business models. The PEL reports to the C4ISR AC&S Product Line Engineering Lead (PLEL). The PEL provides engineering leadership for the assigned product area during all lifecycle phases (conception, design, development, production, and support).
The PEL may also take on Program Engineering Manager (PEM) responsibilities, leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team (primarily within the software, hardware and systems engineering disciplines) charged to deliver and support critical mission capabilities. This role will be responsible for planning, staffing, budget, schedules, scope management, risk and opportunity management, and team coordination. You will coordinate with program managers to ensure all customer needs are met and will manage all aspects of the design, integration, test, and delivery of our tactical radio products.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate across engineering disciplines.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:

• Partner with and support the Product Area Director and staff to develop and deliver products and systems that meet our customer needs
• Partner and collaborate across all the functions to effectively support engineering across the portfolio
• Identify and support the development of critical skills and employees
• Engineering focal point for all activity within the portfolio including strategic planning ,bid and proposal support for engineering content, engineering strategy and integrated plans on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity management.
• Partner and collaborate with program managers, functional engineering managers, and factories to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and achieved.
• Monitor project plans and execution to ensure technical and work scope requirements, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.

• Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business
• Excellent collaboration skills working across systems, software, hardware and firmware engineering disciplines and with customers and program management.
• Engineering background and leadership skills with experience in multiple aspects of the product development lifecycle
• Ability to lead a medium to large group with diverse cultures and individual differences.
• Proven performance management, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree and Minimum 12 years of technical leadership experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging ATR systems and capabilities relevant to the business

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Active Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Domain knowledge, UHF/VHF/HF Communication solutions experience, including NSA certification.
• Project engineering management including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, and product verification

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
