Qualifications:
5 years of Industry experience and have ODE CTE license (Teaching license is NOT required) OR5 years Industry experience and ability to obtain a CTE license within 4 years by completing the 24 hour coursework. Coursework must be started in the first 2 years of the initial license OR5 years of industry experience, possess an ODE teacher license, and complete the 12 hour CTE license pathway within 4 years. Coursework must be started in the first of 2 years of the initial license.

Other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required, and one (1) of the three (3) years of the required. experience must be within the last five (5) years, or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years.Up to two (2) years of the required experience may be substituted (with additional approval) of related post high school education, apprenticeship program, or college preparation course work).Knowledge of academic area and various teaching methodologies.Ability to work effectively with others.Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.Effective, active listening skills.Organizational and problem solving skills.Record keeping skills.Classroom management skills.Experience working with children.Basic computer skills.Basic first aid.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrates and teaches Engineering, Robotics and Machining in a classroom setting using hands-on activities, career experiences and standards-aligned instruction.Designs and teaches engineering experiments to create workable solutions.Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress in CTE while creating classroom activities / lessons based on the needs of the students. Coordinate CTE Student Organization activities for local, regional, state and / or national competition. Works with employers and community groups to promote and advance technical skills.Creates an environment that is conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students.
