Position Specific Description

Seeking a transactional attorney to support M&A and commercial transactions for NextEra's utility scale solar generation and energy storage development and business management teams. The attorney would be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and assisting with commercial agreements and related items, including term sheets, ancillary agreements, amendments, and analyses, for purchase and sale agreements, joint development agreements, build-transfer agreements, renewable energy power purchase agreements, energy storage agreements, and other commercial agreements for solar generation and energy storage projects. Applicant must be a team player with a demonstrated commercial acumen who relates well with clients, management and counterparties and who can thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Employees in this job participate in complex legal matters and projects and deliver timely and quality legal services to clients with moderate supervision.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides written and oral legal advice to clients

• Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the organization

• Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel

• Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership

• Performs other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications

• Member in Good Standing of State Bar

• Juris Doctorate

• Bachelor's Degree
