Regional Commercial Director, Managed Services – Regulatory Compliance

The Team:

This is a commercial position within S&P Global Market Intelligence, Regulatory Compliance Division. This position will report into the of Commercial Head Managed Services but work closely with the Sales, Operations, Technology / Product team across Regulatory Compliance.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Our comprehensive services bring greater transparency to financial markets, helping to reduce risk and create opportunity. We provide extensive risk and compliance management coverage, including support for Global regulations. We have the industry standard solution for counterparties to manage the onboarding workflow by sharing client, tax, regulatory, constitutional documents, and data to support account onboarding, KYC and legal review.

  • Development and execution of a Managed Services commercial strategy with an emphasis on managing the regional P&L.
  • Relationship management and development with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Thought leadership generation by attending and representing S&P at market events.
  • Strategic planning with the Account Management team and the existing client base to identify new initiatives and partnership opportunities.
  • Commercial lead acts as the conduit to all internal teams and is responsible for:
  • Strategy – devise a commercial strategy for Managed Services based on client and prospect feedback.
  • Sales – create campaigns (insight and materials) for the sales team to take to market.
  • Technology / Product – Feedback industry and client enhancements to the technology team and manage the roadmap and improve technologies.
  • Operations – Whilst not accountable for delivery, the commercial lead is responsible for ensuring delivery is completed to contracted standards.

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $107,100 to $212,975. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within financial services (Technology or Operations)
  • Knowledge and experience of capital markets, specifically in the Operations space and/or Regulatory solutions.
  • Broad based experience working with/for Tier One Sell-side Institutions at a mid-senior level with exposure to managing complex relationships and/or process's.
  • Must be able to manage senior level meetings and navigate to senior level contacts.

  • Knowledge of coordinating large scale change projects and initiatives (Technology or Operations)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present information, handle detail, influence decisions and work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to review, track and analyze commercial deals
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
  • Team player and willing to progress in a rapidly changing environment
