Our Detroit branch is looking for a new Sea Logistics Operational Care Manager, Revenue Care to join our Sea Logistics team. Your Role The Sea Logistics Operational Care Manager Accounting is responsible for managing
the Operational Accounting Team with focus on cost- efficiency and high-quality processing of
Carrier & Co-Loader Freight Invoice Audits, to ensure timely and appropriate action is being taken.
Additionally managing the Team to perform accurate and on-time Invoicing Tasks internally &
externally for our Services provided by the Sea Logistics US Team. Providing overall Feedback on
Invoice Accuracy and improve our overall DPO to the Carriers. Your Responsibilities
  • Provide Leadership and direction to the Operational Care Accounting team & supervisors
  • Oversee auditing of Carrier and Co-loader Freight Invoices
  • Monthly Calls with each Carriers AR Representative to discuss open Items such as pending Disputes
  • Manage received Credit notes from Carriers
  • Action Carrier Items in Status Partially Acknowledged and Parked
  • Immediately report concerns, invoicing disputes or credit check failures to the correct CCL Team
  • Ensure Invoicing Excellence through proper implementation
  • Continuous improvement of processes and practices to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Profit Maximization – avoid additional costs & expenses due to in-accurate payments or late Invoicing
  • Financial Excellence & Development
  • Ensure operational productivity KPI's are achieved or exceeded
  • Attend frequent Business Review Meetings with each Carrier
  • Handle daily Forwarding Sub Ledger (FSL) activities including month end closing for Accounts handled through OCC P&L (no involvement of
    CCL)
  • Identify and communicate potential gaps in processes to OCC & CCL Leadership Teams
  • Ensure highest Level of Data Quality is achieved
  • Ensure highest Level of Compliance is achieved
  • Familiarization with KN Products & systems, i.e. TMS, Customer myKN, KN Login/ESP, ACON)
  • Establish and maintain a positive Employee Experience
  • Actively seek regular community based activities for team participation

Your Skills and Experiences
  • High School Degree / Diploma
  • Bachelors/First University Degree: Supply Chain Management
    or Finance (Preferred)
  • BU / FU: Sea Logistics or Finance 2-5 years
  • Leadership Experience 0-2 years (Preferred)
  • International Experience 0-2 years (Preferred)
  • High knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • Financial System knowledge (KN System ACON)
  • Ability to implement/teach new Carrier & Customer Tariffs
  • Knowledge of interaction between (KN) Systems
  • Knowledge of KN Products, Services and Processes
  • English
