About the role

As a CBRE Energy Sr. Manager, you will oversee the team responsible for the development and execution of energy management programs.

What you'll do

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of current legal and market changes relating to compliance.
  • Connect with key agencies on internal and external forums.
  • Develop and complete strategies and programs to reach client goals. Work with clients to improve KPIs, energy savings, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Drive improvements through the identification and implementation of opportunities across multiple real estate portfolios.
  • Integrate expert knowledge of energy procurement and new technologies with global platforms. Direct improved energy performance.
  • Verify global energy and sustainability standards are consistently upheld.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own subject area, and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job subject area.
