How will you make an impact in this role?

Successful candidate will be part of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and Application Support and responsible for Engineering, Integrations, Testing and 24x7 Production Support of Messaging Platforms SOLACE and IBM MQ. This role is also responsible for working closely with vendor teams and AET Engineering, application development and production support teams to identify underlying causes of system issues, facilitating resolution and identify trends that continuously improve the customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, deploy and maintain highly scalable and reliable platform to support several customer journeys at scale. Drive initiatives to ensure that the platform which supports customer journeys is highly available, scalable and resilient. Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational processes, reducing manual intervention and improving system resilience. Implement/improve end-to-end observability for customer journey components to gain insights into system performance and identify areas for improvement.Cultivate a highly collaborative, inclusive, strong cohesive and productive team passionate about accomplishing targets in timely manner in line with overall organization strategy and goalsLead operations support of critical American Express Messaging applications and infrastructure in conjunction with monitoring, solving, tuning system issues and debugging of applications.Lead Service restoration bridge calls for application and/or infrastructure changesCollaborate with vendor partners and other AET teams to resolve major outagesAdminister and handle MQ Point to Point; Cluster Full Repositories and SOLACE appliance configurationsPerform version upgrades, patching & migrationWork with Engineering and Operations team to identify manual processes; design and engineer solutions to automate them. Work with application teams to understand developer issues and lead the middleware team towards improving overall developer experienceMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree 7+ years of software engineering and experience with in Middleware products such as IBM MQ and SOLACEStrong development experience with building applications using Java technologies, , JBoss is a plusProven experience in Financial Services Industry is a plusGood communication and Interpersonal skillsPreferred QualificationsHands on experience with architecture, design and development of applications using technologies such as Java, Messaging middleware such as MQ, Solace Monitoring tools such as dynatrace, ELF and Grafana, Prometheus etc.Experience in architecting, designing, and leading a team of engineers for full stack application development with a detailed understanding of infrastructure, platform and containers as a service hosting and provisioning capabilities.Experience designing and building distributed architectures with a primary focus on messaging based architectures.Experience and knowledge of working in agile practices. Good understanding and experience working with CI/CD tools and standard methodologies.Experience in designing and implementing CICD pipelines for on-demand application stack deployment consisting of multiple services. Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
