(ECS-SFFS/CEMA-ACES SW Engineer)
Both Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) and Countermeasure and Electromagnetic Attack (CEMA) have technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. We welcome those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive fielding velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safe. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
As a Principal Software Engineer in the ECS Small Form Factor Solutions or CEMA Advanced Compact EW Solutions product lines, you will be an integrated team member collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Firmware engineers in one or more of the phases of project planning, design, coding, and testing in an agile environment. You will apply your skills to develop high quality applications or real time embedded software, in C or C++, utilizing sound object-oriented principles, for either new or fielded electronics platforms. Your experience in software containers will assist us in providing faster solutions for our warfighters. You may be assisting in the evaluation of Electronic Warfare software to identify design or coding flaws. You may be utilizing either a Windows- or Linux-based software development environment where you develop tools or integrate and test on embedded target environments that will include the latest technologies.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Six or more years of C/C++ design and programming experience (Windows applications and embedded application development in Linux).
  • Organized, development communicates well, a team player, able to lead a small technical team.
  • Familiar with producing documents associated with software releases.
  • Familiar with low-level software interfacing with firmware or hardware, object-oriented design, and embedded.
  • Familiar with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, and Visual Studio.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering degree
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with Qt Creator, GitLab
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
