Job Summary:
We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the well-being of our workforce and the longevity of our projects by developing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and programs tailored to our grid-scale wind or solar projects.
Key Duties:
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive HSE systems and policies for grid-scale renewable energy projects.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Perform thorough risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Provide HSE training programs to promote a strong safety culture among employees and stakeholders.
- Lead investigations of incidents and accidents to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for enhancement.
- Oversee environmental practices to minimize construction impact on the environment.
- Develop emergency response plans and maintain preparedness for potential incidents.
- Manage reporting and documentation of HSE activities and performance.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to address HSE concerns.
- Promote continuous improvement in HSE practices.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Minimum of 8 years of HSE management experience in grid-scale renewable projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations specific to renewable energy.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing HSE systems.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HSE management tools and software.
- Relevant certifications like Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus.
