JOB SUMMARY:

Assists the Merchandise Product Developers with the day-to-day operations of a segment of the merchandise assortment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the Product Developers with product development or buying assignments. Manages a product sub-class or department through direction from the buyer. Responsible for achieving category financials.
  • Keys initial sku's and initial orders. Contractual samples to Legal.
  • Communicates with the operational Area merchandise team through updated initiative sheets, photo library and ensuring that the new product is placed in the correct stores.
  • Ensures data integrity, and correct coding of stock keeping unit (SKUs) set-ups.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Merchandising or a related field preferred. EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years required of retail experience in an operation or buying environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
