Plant Project Engineer

To help us drive excellence, you'll get to:

Ensure that the BU leadership and plant staff agree with achieving all program milestone events (Fixture design, process, and layout approval etc.).
Ensure that the internal launch activities meet timing objectives and targets.
Work with launch team and BU to ensure all ECR's are completed and submitted to the customer on time.
Manage the integrators to ensure all cost targets and budgets are achieved.
Ensure that the team completes all APQP forms and check off sheets on time to achieve gated review objectives.
Responsible for overall coordination and communication of launch activity and goals.


This salary role is a part of our Engineering Team and reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager.

Required experience:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in Engineering or Engineering cross discipline.
Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in an automotive/metals/assembly environment.
Possess knowledge of plant department functions and interacts to facilitate overall plant synergy.
Knowledge of standard quality practices.
Ability to interpret financial and performance data.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Ability to read and write in English and to perform mathematical computations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, team building, and verbal and written communication skills.
