Research and Development Technician

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Research & Development Technician to work in our Nuclear Science and Technology (NS&T) Research Operations department. Our team works a 9x80nschedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. This position reports to the Senior Manager of the NS&T Research Operations department.
Responsibilities Include:
Assemble one of a kind test assemblies, test stands and mockups of research tests and equipment.Work with researchers to plan and test assemblies, with a focus on safety and failing safely.Develop methods to measure and control experiments to obtain accurate data.Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience required in the following areas:Required: Maintenance and/or Operations and/or LaboratoryPreferred:fabrication and/or mechanical assembly (hand and handheld power tools)electrical/ instrumentation & control (I&C)research & development and/or laboratory experiencegloveboxesradiological workequipment/facility operations This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
