Job Purpose

Lead Demand Planning activities throughout the defined region to ensure a two-to-three (2-3) year demand forecast.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key interface between the Integrated Supply Chain and Commercial teams.
  • Manage Demand Planners servicing designated business units.
  • Create high-quality demand plans and adequate forecasting, using the appropriate forecasting model, ensuring accuracy of master data.
  • Build monthly forecast using statistical tools and market information, concentrating on the four (4) to thirty-six (36) months' timeframe. Will review forecast accuracy to meet objectives, support system improvements, and identify/resolve gaps.
  • Work closely with country and/or regional business managers as well as cluster integrated supply chain teams, both inside and outside of region, to ensure undisrupted supply to customers and markets.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints, ensuring effective resolution of issue(s).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7 years' demand planning/demand management experience in the coatings industry or chemical manufacturing.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret and communicate data in a clear and professional manner.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDA and forecasting software such as OMP required.
  • APICS certification within the last two (2) years.
  • Fluent in English.
