Unemployment Insurance Generalist

A local employment company is seeking an Unemployment Insurance (UI) Generalist to join their team. You will be responsible for reviewing UI decisions, responding to UI claims, and reporting hour and gross wage information to the State of Hawaii UI Claims office.

As an Unemployment Insurance Generalist, you will work with a lot of numbers so you must be highly organized and detail oriented.

Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location
Honolulu, Oahu

Pay
$21 to $23 an hour

Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to UI claims.
  • Gather data, obtain documentation, and extract details.
  • Review and intake UI monetary determinations.
  • Calculate and enter UI weekly report of low earnings.
  • Communicate with clients via email and phone.
  • Draft clear, concise, and professional emails.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
