SUPPLY TECHNICIAN with Security Clearance

Duties SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to provide advanced technical, instructional, and training support to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the Air Operations Center force level weapons system.
• Performs mission capability (MICAP) verification, reports and processes cannibalization actions
Establishes upgrade, downgrade, or cancels MICAP due-outs.
• Establishes requirements for customer using automated systems and notifies customer of asset availability.
• Processes Aircraft Document Review (ADR).
• Manages the DIFM listing, validates/updates DIFM listing with status by processing required transaction as necessary.
• Manages the Supply Point program.
• Manages the AWP program.
• Maintains Tail Number Bin (TNB) and Due-Out Release (DOR) point.
• Reviews Two-Level Maintenance (2LM) metrics listing and takes appropriate action to improve repair cycle time.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED

Ensure that the Questionnaire is completed on Application Manager
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered
Experience using computer and automation systems
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade
Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment
Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts
Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management
Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc
Consistent with the grade level determining duties in the position description, higher grade level specialized experience may include experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures
Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support
Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues
Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc
Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system
Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is primarily sedentary, however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items and/or files
No special physical demands required
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical work is performed indoors in an environment involving everyday risks
The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated
NOTES TO CANDIDATES: a
Situations of inversion of military rank are not permitted, i.e., a military technician may not be militarily senior to his or her full-time supervisor

Temporary promotion may be extended for an additional two years, not-to-exceed four year, with National Guard Bureau approval

Should the need for temporary time limitations placed on this position no longer exist, the Temporary Promotion may be converted to a permanent action without further competition
