Olelo Community Media is seeking a versatile and highly skilled Multi-Camera and Short Format Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality short-form content and managing multi-camera setups for various projects, including live events, studio productions, and promotional videos. This role requires a unique blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and project management skills to support our mission of empowering community voices through media.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Coordinate with departments, clients, and vendors to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain production schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Develop, produce, and edit short-form video content for platforms like social media, websites, and promotional materials.
  • Write scripts and storyboards for video concepts and narratives.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and execute innovative content ideas.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute multi-camera shoots for live events, interviews, and studio productions.
  • Operate and oversee the setup of multi-camera systems to ensure high-quality video and audio output.
  • Direct camera operators and production crew during shoots for seamless coordination and coverage.
  • Ensure proper lighting, sound, and camera equipment is used for desired visual and audio quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production.
  • Operate video cameras, lighting, and sound equipment during shoots.
  • Oversee the editing and assembly of multi-camera and short-form videos for consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with editors to incorporate graphics, special effects, and other elements as needed.
  • Review and approve final video content to meet production standards and client expectations.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in multi-camera and short-form video content.
  • Analyze performance metrics and audience feedback to improve content quality and engagement.
  • Optimize video content for various platforms, ensuring proper formatting and adherence to platform-specific guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and at least two years of management experience.
  • Minimum of one year teaching and training experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience in the use of production-related technology and equipment preferred.
  • Clean criminal and driving record; position involves working with and training and interacting with minors.
  • Technical aptitude to operate current audio/visual, computing and television equipment.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects, work with urgent and competing demands, and manage confidential and sensitive information related to agency business.
  • Strong critical thinking and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the technical, political and social issues specific to Hawaii communities.
  • Team-building skills and the ability to supervise production crew.
