CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Works closely with students to continuously evaluate their learning experience and improve quality and value of the program.
2. Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems.
3. Acts as an academic advisor for students in the program and as a career advisor for prospective and continuing students.
4. Develops strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations.
5. Creates monthly budget reports to ensure operations are within plan.
6. Assists with database maintenance and enrollment management.
7. Ensures administrative processes and associated forms for instructor services are completed in a timely manner.
8. Responds to various instructor requests and telephone, email, and internet submissions for all programs.
9. Prepares faculty payroll for the program.
10. Plans and participates in open houses for the department.
11. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Certification and Licensing:

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).

DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM

Department Specific Functions
1. Coordinate, and implement ALL TRANING activities such as seminars, conferences, workshops, short courses, training sessions, public events, and other related programs for the Center.
2. Generate and coordinate new ideas and concepts to enhance or replace existing training program components.
3. Coordinate the planning, execution, and follow-up activities for project/program-related meetings and invited speakers.
4. Monitor program effectiveness, investigate trends, and recommend modifications to improve outcomes.
5. Coordinate and participate in preparing and producing brochures, bulletins, newsletters, and other promotional materials and publications.
6. Represent assigned programs on behalf of the Director to the University and the public, participate in local and state-wide meetings to advance the Center's mission, and collaborate with external organizations to enhance cooperative efforts and resource utilization.
7. Prepare budgets and monitor, verify, and reconcile budget expenditures
8. Facilitate collaboration between different schools, community agencies, and academic support units throughout the University.
9. Coordinate collecting, compiling, and analysis of program activity data.
10. Prepare comprehensive, statistical, and narrative program reports and evaluations and suggest revisions to improve program effectiveness.
11. Coordinate the scheduling of all program components.
12. Draft and initiate correspondence, develop agendas, maintain calendars, assist in gathering reference materials, and coordinate and attend committee meetings.
13. Assist with the development and implementation of program marketing strategies.
14. Support student participants and program constituents with administrative assistance and support, maintaining files and program data.

Department Specific Qualifications


Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certification and Licensing:
Not Applicable

Experience:
Event planning and/or training coordination experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

• Knowledge of Intermediate to Advance proficiency in Excel

• Evidence of highly effective project management; strong organizational and time management skills; effective interpersonal and communications skills and attention to detail; comfortable as a team member; life-long learner
