Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Technician. This position involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repair, and operation of the ammonia refrigeration system.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Calibrate equipment and instrumentation.
  • Respond to and remediate anhydrous ammonia releases.
  • Maintain water quality systems on cooling towers.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of maintenance experience, with 3 years in industrial refrigeration.
  • Completion of RETA Operator 1 and 2 courses or CIRO Certification.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Compensation:

  • $30-$35 per hour, up to $40 per hour for highly qualified candidates (Depending on Experience).
  • Comprehensive benefits package available from the start date, including health, disability, 401K, and a monthly attendance bonus.
