The M&A Diligence Manager will manage complex and highly visible diligence projects in a fast-paced environment. This role will lead the coordination of diverse teams to quarterback diligence efforts end-to-end as well as other business operations projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, experience leading cross-functional projects ideally with M&A initiatives as well as experience within a CPA firm or other professional services firm. This role will report to the Director, M&A Integration Strategy and Value Creation within the Strategy team at Aprio.

Position responsibilities:

Responsible for project management of M&A diligence initiatives, from managing the due diligence stages through connection with the integration phase.
Drives diligence planning, assesses risks and challenges, monitors status, identifies and resolves potential issues, and provides regular updates to leadership.
Understands the company's strategic objectives and prioritizes efforts appropriately that support the strategic objectives.
Works in a challenging, fast-paced environment supporting M&A and other cross-collaborative initiatives, aligning them with company strategy, business systems, processes, and culture.
Leads and guides the efforts of others in understanding and reaching decisions.
Interacts across company departments and comfortably works with the Executive Team, Corporate Operations leaders, Corporate Development, and Practice Group leaders.
Possesses strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and service skills to achieve project goals.
Leads and facilitates the efforts of a wide range of disciplines.
Builds standard operating procedures, best practices, and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of integration project efforts.
Determines project risk and assesses project activities and resources to mitigate risks. Implements quality assurance processes to reduce risk.
Effectively communicates project expectations with leadership, project team members, and all involved parties.
Work from the Aprio Atlanta office location 2-3 times per week.

Qualifications:
5+ years of overall work experience.
3+ years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions or Management Consulting space.
Excellent knowledge of core management consulting principles including project management & change management.
Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others to achieve deadlines.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, ability to prioritize efforts, and work across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) and excellent presentation skills.
Collaborative, team player. Ability to engage, interact, and collaborate with groups and individuals.
Ability to visualize, understand, and construct complex processes or concepts, developing process maps, diagrams, models, and/or other process documentation. (ie. Gantt charts, Excel/sheets, and other PM-related tools)
Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery methods.
Tools: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.)
Ability to travel occasionally within the United States.
CPA or MBA preferred
Experience with a CPA firm active in M&A is a bonus
