Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose\r
of this position\r
is to work in the administration of the Maryland\r
State Department of Education (MSDE), specializing in\r
training and project management for the Office of School and Community Nutrition\r
Programs (OSCNP), and developing and supporting statewide\r
training initiatives and grant\r
projects for the USDA child nutrition\r
programs (CNP) administered by OSCNP.\r

POSITION DUTIES

This position will provide nutrition program training,\r
evaluation, and technical assistance to agencies participating in the CNPs.\r
This includes the development of training content and resources, and the\r
delivery of in-person and virtual\r
training and technical\r
assistance to support\r
program effectiveness. This position also evaluates training\r
effectiveness and the professional development needs of agencies.\r
Core program training areas include CNP requirements,\r
wellness policies, nutrition promotion, and other areas as directed. The\r
position also collaborates on the development, implementation, and evaluation\r
of CNP grants, including but not limited to USDA's Team Nutrition (TN) Training\r
and Farm to\r
School grants. Responsibilities\r
may include grant writing and proposal development, grant management of new and existing projects, procurement of\r
related services, and contract management.\r

hours of post-baccalaureate coursework from an accredited college or university in Health Science,\r
Food Service Administration, Consumer\r
Science, Dietetics, Nutrition, Public Health, Public/Business Administration, Education,or a related field.\r

Experience:�\r

Three years of professional experience in nutrition\r
program administration, food service\r
operations, and/or non-profit, or government project management. .\r
\r
\r
\r

�2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Doctorate degree at an accredited college\r
