Overview:
P

embina Pipeline Corporation is a leading energy transportation and midstream service provider. Pembina recently acquired Enbridge's interests in Alliance/Aux Sable.
The Cochin Pipeline, operated by Pembina US Corporation, has ongoing opportunities for Operations Technicians.

Pembina has grown its Transmission Pipeline assets by acquiring critical natural gas and refined product transportation infrastructure assets.

The transmission pipelines enable customers to access high-value markets mainly on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts through long-distance pipelines.

The Cochin Pipeline is a single-batch condensate line that spans over 1,500 miles from the Kankakee terminal in Illinois to delivery terminals near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

The pipeline first began operating in 1978 and was acquired by Pembina Pipeline Corporation in December 2019.

Pembina will offer a relocation subsidy for individuals considering relocation.

  • Will work as part of a team with primary role as a technician, assisting in pump station and meter station operations, and other trades when and where needed;
  • Routine pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting failures, repair of pump/meter station mechanical equipment, electrical troubleshooting and repair, and various tasks and projects;
  • Locating and marking Cochin facilities per Pembina's Damage Prevention Program and One­ Call procedures prior to and during excavation;
  • Ensure all maintenance and operations duties are completed safely, in compliance with Pembina's procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
  • Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities;
  • Participate in a 7 day on call rotation responding as required to equipment and/or operational problems;
  • Able to work occasional overnight travel;
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed basis;
  • Maintain safe and reliable operations of the facilities;
  • Able to work in teams effectively and encourage a positive work environment;
  • Communicates safety issues to Managers and Safety Department;
  • Effective decision making skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills;
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity;
  • A willingness and desire to work outdoors; and
  • Any other duties assigned.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
