The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 41 bed Level IV critical care unit.

NICU nurses are experienced in caring for premature infants, a variety of different acute and chronic disease processes as well as pediatric surgeries.

NICU nurses are Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified.

The NICU collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and a variety of specialists including pediatric surgery, pediatric cardiologists, pediatric neurology, pediatric urology, pediatric orthopedics and palliative care.

The NICU houses the NICU/Pediatric transport team which receives special training. Our transport team transports neonates/infants from a 350-mile radius.

The nurses in the NICU thrive on a teamwork environment and provide the highest quality of care to their patients and families.

Job Summary

  • CNAs are responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a nurse. The duties generally include observing patients, recording vital signs, performing EKGs, and reporting changes in patient conditions.
Qualifications

  • Applicant has completed Nurse Aide course and presents Nurse Aide Certification.
  • Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association
