For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating and scheduling repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitors work of vendors or contractors; ensures that all work complies with regulatory and facility maintenance standards. Maintains compliance documentation for all equipment and systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.The Facilities Technician will perform many daily general duties, including:
  • Ability to coordinate work among in-house and contract maintenance teams.
  • Vendor relationship skills.
  • Safe work permit generation and record maintenance.
  • Audit all work to ensure work is performed in a manner compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Complies with regulations and industry standards.
  • On call duty-responds to any issues and recommends repairs.
  • Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Recommending measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems.
  • Understanding company policies and enforcing safety regulations. Performing daily duties of the position in a safe manner by following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures while wearing PPE as required.
As an Amentum Technician, you will be expected to:
  • Work in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.
  • Value and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.
  • Balance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in a planning or compliance role or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanical equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU's, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and more.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues.
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including holidays and weekends.
  • oversee the implementation of policies and procedures, to maintain compliance with changes in regulatory codes and laws.
  • Supervise maintenance activities, keep records, and implement plans to maintain operation status of facilities and equipment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
Some physical requirements include:
  • Regularly lift to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding
  • Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement.
  • Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
  • Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions
  • Special Requirements: Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with facilities maintenance in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects with multiple maintenance teams.
  • Experience maintaining documentation systems in a pharmaceutical environment.
