In the last two quarters thousands of users have signed up for Unstructured's commercial product with several thousand currently on the waitlist for our ETL platform.

As a Federal Solutions Engineer, you will lead technical interactions with Unstructured's users within the US Government, enabling them to achieve critical objectives with our products and services. Ideal candidates will have proven success in the development and deployment of technical products, as well as experience directly supporting or working within public sector organizations. At Unstructured, we employ veterans of the US military and civilian government, and we highly value prior service in any capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Lead technical execution on post-sales engagements, ensuring delivery excellence and forging strong relationships with our federal users, and deploying our tools in virtual private clouds and on-premises.

-Become an expert at using the Unstructured API and Platform, building and presenting reference architectures, technical guides, and onboarding material for users.

-Provide top-notch support and guidance on the deployment, integration, and/or use of our AI-enabling products.

-Help grow our deployments through technical support to business development activities (giving demos and workshops, building prototypes, etc.).

-Partner with our product managers and engineering leads to identify and prioritize feature development based on customer feedback and market signal.

-Deep expertise in Gen AI architectures, especially Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and Knowledge Graphs, and proactively share your knowledge with colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

-Willingness and interest to travel up to 25%.

-3+ years of experience as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect3+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps.

-Experience leading successful, customer-facing engagements, including deployments directly in customers' environments.

-Ability to write and maintain scripts in Python, especially for automation, API interactions, and data manipulation.

-Professional experience with deployment technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and tools of major cloud service providers (Azure/AWS/GCP).

-Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.

-Familiarity with security best practices, including securing containerized applications and resolving vulnerabilities.

-Experience with Government DevSecOps tools such as IronBank and PlatformOne is a plus.

-Excellent communications skills, including the ability to facilitate effective collaboration across teams and articulate technical solutions and value propositions to non-technical stakeholders.

-Comfort working in a fast-paced, fluid environment, operating effectively both with relative independence and as a member of small teams.

-Experience with or interest in building Retrieval Augmented Generation applications.

-Active US Security Clearance at the Top Secret level or higher.

-Ability and willingness to obtain a US Security Clearance at Top Secret / Secure Compartment Information.
