Duties
  • Serve as a project management consultant providing project management and systems support and analysis to a wide range of projects.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain project management strategies, policies, guidelines and processes for innovative IT systems programs for the Directorate.
  • Plans, scheduling, and coordinating project activities for various IT systems/software projects.
  • Defines clients needs into requirements for new and modified systems and services based on analysis of business need and practices.
  • Responsible for planning, conducting, and monitoring project development in accordance with industry standard system development lifecycle models and directorate guidance.
  • Identifies strategies, schedules, and tracks accomplishment of all activities required to satisfy client requirements.
  • Identifies actual or potential problem areas with current projects and follows up on action items ensuring they are completed on time.

Qualifications

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense via delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Specialized experience is defined as: Participating in a Financial Management or Financial Systems project; analyzing and evaluating reports and data from financial systems; researching financial policies and laws; assisting with updating user documentation including system administration guides, quick references, and help documentation.

For Entry at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must minimally have:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service performing complex data analysis and evaluation of financial systems, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the continuity of a financial system's operations.
