The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineering Manager who is highly motivated to lead a QA team that is responsible for ensuring product quality before it ships.

You will have experience building repeatable test processes, incorporating feature development into test plans and managing the execution of testing across various types of technologies.

You will lead a team that will drive the creation of test frameworks to ensure the execution of those tests through various automation frameworks.

This role requires that you are able to take initiative, are comfortable presenting reports and inefficiencies that can be optimized and are capable of executing manual QA throughout the development cycle.

This role is for a candidate who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and must be able work on-site at our San Mateo, CA HQ on a hybrid basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with product design and customer-facing teams to gather and verify requirements for test scenarios that match customer use cases
  • Own the architecture and implementation of automation test frameworks across web and backend APIs
  • Provide input during the architectural design process
  • Be an active participant in iterating and improving engineering processes
  • Work with customer-facing teams providing support to reproducing issues and gathering as much detail as possible to hand off to the appropriate engineering teams
  • Be able to lead and manage other people in terms of maximizing output and providing continuous feedback

What We're Looking For:

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate a passion not only for technology, but for our mission to elevate the impact of people in the connected industrial workspace
  • 8+ years' experience as a test engineer / developer / or related field
  • 5+ years' experience as a QA engineer
  • 3+ years experience with Java, and/or Python programming languages
  • Git-based workflow with build tools for continuous integration systems such as Jenkins
  • Experience working with REST API implementations
  • Experience with complex products
  • Agile development practices and feature estimations
  • You enjoy collaborating across teams and work well in a cross-functional environment
  • You thrive working in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very strong SQL skills, you will use them on a daily basis
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or Computer Science
