We are seeking a product manager with passion for technology, sustainability and energy to bring their unique perspective and capabilities to our team. As a Principal Product Manager, you will work with an amazing, dedicated cross-functional team including design, engineering, client success, sales, and more. You'll have end-to-end ownership of your product space, and be responsible for strategy, execution, and go-to-market coordination for the next generation of Opower products. You will contribute to the success and vision of our market-leading solution, reaching millions of people across the globe.

What You'll Make Happen

  • Contribute to the vision, strategy and roadmap for Opower data ingest, transformation, storage and external access via APIs
  • Meet with and learn from Opower client facing teams, external vendors and utility employees around the world about their business and the challenges they face.
  • Collaborate with product owners and engineering across Opower on new products and insights, and data required to support those
  • Own all data Opower brings from external sources into our platform, the new data integration platform with ETL and extend data transfer mechanisms to support client and market needs(API, Streaming, etc)
  • Become the data model SME for the company owning the core and extendable data models that power our internal and external facing products
  • Own our Integration Hub product which enables real-time, per user data access with single-sign on across applications and vendor ecosystem
  • Working with multiple engineering teams to actively manage projects cross-functionally and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrate outstanding product design and technical decisions by contributing to and reviewing technical design documents and architecture, and by participating in technical demos.
  • Work closely with sales and client success teams to drive adoption of our data models.

Responsibilities

About You

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager or 8+ years of related professional experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills tailored for a wide variety of audiences in English
  • Eager to learn continuously - about new technologies, products, industry trends and more
  • Fantastic analytical skills: ability to solve problems quickly, establish frameworks, think on your feet and generalize solutions
  • Passion for energy and/or sustainability
  • Understand the importance of prioritization to build an impactful product that moves metrics.
  • Experience leading collaborative workshops with internal and external stakeholders with a wide range of expertise.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • The following are not requirements, but are beneficial for this role:
  • Degree in computer science, engineering or related technical experience.
  • Background in energy and water, with specific experience working with utilities.
  • Experience managing software projects and engineering teams through various cycles of product management planning and implementation. Experience with Agile a plus.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
