Patient Service Rep/Call Center Support Heart Institute Full-Time Days

We are looking to hire a Full Time Patient Service Representative in Boise at our Heart Institute to support contacting our patients. This role specifically will not be patient facing, but rather supporting the clinic in more of a call center role. They will be responsible for taking and making calls to our patient population.
Primary responsibilities include answering telephones and scheduling appointments as well as checking in patients for appointments, collecting patient co-pays, taking accurate messages, and checking insurance eligibility.
About this clinic: The Heath Institute is located at 6140 Curtisian Avenue and the hours for the clinic are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute treats the most common to the most complex heart conditions utilizing advanced technology, specialty programs, and leading edge surgical techniques.
Our ideal candidate is friendly, detail oriented, and will have a passion for providing a high quality customer service experience to our patients. He or she will also need to utilize excellent communication skills while communicating with patients and families and other colleagues. The ability to provide superior customer service will be essential in this position. This position is a great opportunity to learn more about our various clinics and expand your skill set
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus. Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred
