Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector to support at its site in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. In this role, the Inspector is responsible for the inspection of items manufactured or procured for use as a contracted end item. Inspection includes the use of inspection tools and instruments to demonstrate compliance to specifications, and inspection by attributes for workmanship as well as confirmation of all appropriate documentation. Generally, this position requires a higher level experience in lot traceability and reviewing certifications and process paperwork.Responsible for the inspection of materials, parts, processes and final products, and documentation of the resultsAble to read and interpret engineering drawings including related specifications and process documentsAbility to interpret purchase order requirements and perform evaluations of submitted test reports and certificationsStrong organizational and priority-setting skillsInspects close tolerance items using non-computerized inspection equipment, procedures and set-upsReviews paperwork accompanying inspected items for appropriateness and completenessComputer proficiency to include MS Office Suite and other industry-related softwarePerforms First Article, in-process and final inspections on mechanical components, subassemblies, and assemblies including radar unitsPrepares and files all required quality documentation and records for inspection areaResponsible for the continuous improvement of the position and departmentPerforms other duties, consistent with the position, as required or assignedRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Typically requires a high school education and five (5) years of mechanical inspection or related machining experience, or the overall equivalentMust have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) per ANSI Y 14.5MFamiliarity with ISO 9001 & AS9100 Quality Management SystemsAble to inspect close tolerance items using non-computerized inspection equipment, procedures and set-upsDetail-oriented to successfully inspect items for appropriateness and completenessExperience with First Article, receiving, in-process, and final inspectionPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Knowledgeable in the use of PC DMIS softwareFamiliarity with Deltek Costpoint, TipQACMM and/or Romer-Hexagon Absolute Arm experienceLevel II or higher NDT certificationSalary Min $51,390 - Max $82260

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $82260

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
