National Grid is hiring a Sales Support Rep for our Sales Support department. The preferred location for this role would be Worcester, MA, but would consider other MA based office locations.

Job PurposeProvide administrative and project management services for National Grid's Commercial and Industrial electric and gas energy efficiency programs, demand reduction, electric vehicle, and climate change initiatives. Focus is supporting Sales Operations and Inside Sales with the processing of customer applications and contracts for efficiency services. Support includes data entry, sales performance reporting, marketing and project management with respect to vendors, suppliers, engineers, architects and other trade allies involved in customer efficiency projects and applications.
Key Accountabilities
• Enter paper or electronic application submittals in the department tracking system (InDemand Electric and InDemand Gas).
• Review measures and proposed devices for eligibility for incentives
• Follow up with customers and vendors to collect documentation required to process applications, including but not limited to: pre and post inspection information, equipment data sheets, price quotations, invoices, survey forms and signatures and necessary tax documents.
• Prepare customer reports and various pre-approval letters
• Schedule pre and post inspection visits, as necessary
• Provide project management tasks, including but not limited to; tracking probability of completion and anticipated completion dates as well as follow-up calls for tracking project status,
• Prepare various ad-hoc reports used for tracking marketing and sales performance
• Adhere to and work to continuously improve department key performance indicators ie: cycle time.
- Bachelor's degree in an energy, marketing or business-related discipline preferred.
- 1-3 years equivalent working experience required with Customer Service skills.
- Some travel is required to various locations in New England territory for training and/or meetings as required
- Ability to work proficiently with minimal supervision
- Highly motivated to take an assignment and progress independently.
- Ability to work successfully in teams with co-workers.
- Must be available to work storm assignments
- Valid Driver's license required.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Skills in manipulating data into pivot tables preferred. Knowledge of InDemand, SalesForce, CSS, and Power BI systems preferred.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and the electric and gas industry preferred.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under strict budget and time constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both internally to the organization and externally to customers and business partners and stakeholders.
Salary
$81k - $95k a year
