  • More extensive experience (internship or work) within a lab setting dealing with data and basic statistics/scientific world of how data is presented and shared.
  • Assists, coordinates, and plans research studies in support of Principal Investigator (PI), including initiating and collaborating on protocol drafting, preparing IRB materials, recruitment materials, and researching/outreach to disease-specific organizations to seek recruitment collaboration.
  • Assists in drafting of grant proposals and provision of grant milestone reports.
  • Oversees the day to day operations of the research study through the collection of research data with study participants (eg, RedCap, Zoom Audio, or other approved methods).
  • Participates in internal meetings with study team members, including PI. Participates in external meetings as needed with study sponsors, community partners, foundations, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with analyzing both qualitative and quantitative research data.
  • Shares, presents, and disseminates research findings through the drafting of manuscripts for publication, research abstracts, research posters, and Powerpoint presentations. Presents findings at internal and external meetings. Facilitates conversations about research findings at national and international conferences.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • Proficient in scientific writing.
  • Proficient in basic statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
