\tWorking with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Packaging Technician at our Memphis, TN facility. The hourly wage for this position is $21.21 per hour.\r
\r
\t \r
\r

\tResponsibilities:
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tUnderstand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules\r
\t\r
\t\tParticipate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:\r
\t\r
\t\tAlways using the required personal protective equipment\r
\t\r
\t\tEnsuring that authorized work is completed safely\r
\t\r
\t\tUtilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards\r
\t\r
\t\tParticipating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives\r
\t\r
\t\tReporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure\r
\t\r
\t\tOperate, monitor and troubleshoot automated packaging and related equipment such as case erector, bottle filler and packaging box filler in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\r
\t\r
\t\tEnsure quality standards are met through samples at required intervals and perform related actions\r
\t\r
\t\tSet up equipment for production and ensure all necessary materials are available, replenish as needed per production requirements\r
\t\r
\t\tPerform visual inspections of production and document results\r
\t\r
\t\tDetermine and report malfunctions to the appropriate parties\r
\t\r
\t\tOperate and monitor all packaging and related equipment and control systems\r
\t\r
\t\tEnsure each process is operated within the given range of parameters\r
\t\r
\t\tComplete all logs and related paperwork in a timely, accurate and professional manner\r
\t\r
\t\tAssist in basic preventative maintenance procedures of equipment and basic general housekeeping standards\r
\t\r
\t\tRegular preventative maintenance as assigned\r
\t\r
\t\tOther duties as assigned\r
\r
\r
\t \r
\r

\tQualifications:
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tMust be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed\r
\t\r
\t\tAble to read, write, and communicate effectively\r
\t\r
\t\tKnowledge of LEDS system is a plus\r
\t\r
\t\tUnderstand instruction and follow direction\r
\t\r
\t\tWork primarily in a warm to hot environment\r
\t\r
\t\tPrevious experience within a high-speed industrial environment and / or knowledge of industrial technology a plus\r
\t\r
\t\tMust have the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach\r
\t\r
\t\tMust have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to operate a forklift\r
\t\r
\t\tMaintain clean and safe work area at all time\r
\t\r
\t\tAdhere to all company policies and procedures\r
\t\r
\t\tHigh School diploma or GED required\r
\r
\r
\t \r
\r
