Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will assist the Director of Athletics in the continued growth of Viking Athletics. The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for NCAA, and institutional culture. The candidate should possess good written & verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, and strong interpersonal, and management abilities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Help plan, facilitate, and coordinate coaches & student-athlete development programming. Learn and assist in all major areas of the department/conference for a well-rounded understanding of the business of intercollegiate sports. Learning areas: Sports Information, Compliance, Fundraising, Facilities Management/Planning, Game/Event Management, Academic Services, Conference organization & Championships management. Assist the Director of Athletics with Special Events/Projects. Manage, train, and mentor student work teams. Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) liaison
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Position available and Salary: $30,000 annually for 10 months (August-May) plus full benefits. Annual $3000 stipend for professional development.
