Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Oversees the manufacturing schedule to ensure proper workload distribution to maximize productivity.
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations.
  • Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
  • Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies.
  • Provides budgeting support, planning, and auditing as required. Generates necessary reports for the Operations group to support agreed upon targets are being met.
  • Identifies, communicates, and drives implementation of capital investments and improvement projects with the support of the Facilities & Deburring Manager
  • Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
  • Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Interact regularly with executive team and departmental supervision to ensure that company's operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and presents suggestions to BU President for consideration.
  • Participate and/or provides input in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification and Education requirements

  • College Degree, High School Diploma, Trade School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Five to Seven years of related experience in a machine shop manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should understand Microsoft Office Software- especially knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

  • The office is located near the plant facility therefore the noise level in the work environment is often moderate.
  • This function is a job that requires an onsite presence and will require flexible hours that allow for interaction with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
