Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented School Photographer to join our company based out Alaska, for a seasonal position starting in August 2024 and ending in November 2024. The School Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality images of students and staff for use in yearbooks, school ID cards, and various other school publications. This position requires extensive travel to schools in remote areas of Alaska, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable with travel and working in challenging environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to schools in remote areas of Alaska to photograph students and staff
  • Set up and operate photography equipment, including lighting and backdrops
  • Pose and direct subjects to capture the best possible images
  • Edit and retouch photos to ensure high-quality results
  • Meet with school administrators to discuss photography needs and requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of all photography sessions and client information
  • Deliver final images to clients in a timely manner
  • Have excellent customer service skills, including answering phones and email communications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in school photography or a related field
  • Must be comfortable with extensive travel, often to remote areas of Alaska
  • Proficient in the use of professional photography equipment, including lighting and backdrops
  • Computer savvy, able to use photo editing software, and organize and manage digital files.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and evenings as needed
  • Have excellent customer service skills, including answering phones and email communications.
