Job Description

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks applications from potential adjunct clinical instructors for day and evening for the following subject areas:
Mental Health ClinicalObstetrics ClinicalPediatrics Clinical

Responsibilities
Teach clinical skills in the assigned discipline.Use appropriate technology (including Canvas).Respond to email correspondence from coordinators and students in a timely manner.Communicate issues to didactic faculty, course coordinator and Clinical Coordinator and Program CoordinatorGrade clinical assignments (care plans, patient care worksheets, concept maps, SBAR, etc.) and provide timely feedback.Oversee 10 students per clinical group and complete all required clinical paperwork.Clinical hours are typically 12 hours per dayMonitor, evaluate, and document student achievement of learning objectives and outcomes.Conduct daily debriefing with their group of 12 students.Incorporate best-practice/evidence-based practice in nursing practiceQualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experienceHold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.Minimum of a master's degree with a major in NursingCurrent certification in CPR (clinical supervision)Current immunization and background checks as required (clinical supervision)Demonstrated competence with the required knowledge and skill of the assigned content areaStrong interpersonal skills and positive energy regarding professional education and the role of a nurse educatorCurrent license and background checks may also be required in other states based on the clinical location
Upon hire, official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions and one letter of recommendation will be required.
