Research Senior Technician

Department:
FAES Food Science & Technology

To support and implement experimental research in nutritional, dietetic, biological and/or health science on one or more project(s); coordinate the collection of data; perform study measurements; participate in recruitment and data analysis; prepare study interventions; assist in training research personnel; and supervise the day to day activities of students.

A bachelor's in an appropriate cognitive/behavioral/health/nutrition/food sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
Registered Dietitian (RDN), Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse credential is desired.

Required Experience: Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic and/or practical knowledge to conduct biological/health/nutrition science research. Detailed organization skills. Experience with effectively communicating with a diverse employee and customer base. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to problem solve, take initiative, and provide recommendations to complete job task.

Preferred: Experience conducting food science/nutritional, cognitive/behavioral/health and/or dietetic clinical research.
