Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to enhance inventory control procedures
  • Ensure accurate counts of plant stock per location
  • Schedule master inventory counts on January 1 and July 1 annually
  • Organize cycle counts, manage the inventory team, arrange location inventory per category or section
  • Initiate orders to restock inventory to avoid shortages or excess
  • Analyze data to predict future requirements
  • Provide reports to the Owner on stock levels and issues
  • Maintain plant knowledge and inventory reports
  • Update and input inventory stock data
  • Track plants in and out, monitor plant loss, location, and transfers

Requirements:

  • Nursery experience
  • Proven background as an inventory manager or similar role
  • Excellent proficiency in data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g. SBI)
  • Ability to precisely track inventory and generate reports
  • Analytical mindset with strong mathematical abilities
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • BSc/BA in business administration, logistics, or related field
  • Spanish language proficiency is an advantage

Experience:

  • Inventory control: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Supervisory: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Inventory management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Plant Knowledge: 2 years (Required)
