What You Will Do:

  • Development of embedded control system and wireless technology projects, from concept to manufacturing
  • Utilize industry standard electrical CAD tools (schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit modeling) to design differentiated solutions
  • Work on cross-functional teams to develop, optimize, and qualify designs that meet customer requirements
  • Facilitate evaluation of designs against global regulatory standards for electrical equipment, including UL, CE/EMC, and wireless standards; independently drive regulatory issue resolution, utilizing internal and external capabilities
  • Work closely with both internal and external research teams to develop innovative solutions in control and sensor technologies
  • Work with contract manufacturers to ensure printed circuit assemblies meet quality and continuity objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 2 years of electrical engineering circuit design
  • Experience with schematic capture and electrical CAD tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, driving design work to completion and troubleshooting and solving challenging technical problems
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ years of embedded system design experience
  • Experience designing with microprocessors (Silicon Labs, TI, Microchip, etc.)
  • Use of System on Modules such as the NXP i.MX family-based SOMs
  • Embedded wireless technologies and associated IoT design experience
  • Altium Designer PCB design tool experience
  • System design for control and monitoring equipment applications
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate technical subject matter to a diverse audience
  • Experience with equipment regulatory processes, including safety, wireless and EMC compliance evaluation and design improvement
