As the Content Creator at ACOI, you will serve as the primary storyteller, responsible for producing clear, engaging, and compelling content for our marketing, communications, and membership efforts. Your work will help to increase membership and strengthen the brand and communications for ACOI. Essential Functions
  • Produce engaging copy for various media platforms to promote ACOI's products and services.
  • Write newsletter articles, member emails, and promotional materials
  • Develop interview questions, conduct member interviews, and craft compelling member stories that resonate with our audience.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns targeted towards students and residents, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO best practices into content creation strategies.
  • Utilize email marketing systems to deliver targeted content to our audience.
  • Manage and update content within Content Management Systems (CMS) to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Require Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required. A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressively professional experience working in content creation, communications, marketing, or closely related areas.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in content creation, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to produce high-quality written content across various mediums.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to integrate them into content creation strategies.
  • Experience working with email marketing systems (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) to deliver targeted campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Attendance to the ACOI Annual Convention is mandatory for ACOI employees.
Supervisory Environment
This position operates without direct staff supervision responsibilities and will not supervise others but collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Work Environment
This fully remote position operates from an approved office environment. The role mainly involves desk based tasks, but there will be instances of travel and commitments during evenings and weekends, notably for the annual meeting and other company events. Participation and attendance to the ACOI Annual Convention is required for all ACOI employees. The role has minimal physical demands, such as occasionally lifting or moving equipment. This position is not designated as emergency staff and won't typically be required for immediate operational support.
