Job Summary:
The IGT Supply Chain Manager directs, and coordinates activities concerned with the production of company products through direct interface with customers/vendors and in-house personnel. This involves managing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the expedient flow of parts through the manufacturing processes to satisfy the customers' delivery requirements. Coordinates plant production activities with procurement and manufacturing departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities, not limited to:
Communicates with regular and perspective internal and external customers concerning requirements, talks with them regarding other customer service-related concerns, and answers any other questions. Approximately 35% of available time is spent maintaining internal/external vendor contacts.Acts as liaison between Howmet's customers and manufacturing and support teams. Communicates customers' requirements and concerns. Acts as the customer intermediary to ensure that specifications are met, and delivery is timely. Engages in these activities about 25% of the time.Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.Prepares production reports and monthly sales forecast.Prepares lists of required materials.Updates information on mainframe computer for order entry system.Analyze physical inventory quarterly.Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience with concepts such as MRP, MRP II, ATP, CTP etc. Experience in Budget responsibilities.Experience with program languages such as Visual Basic and Python
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Math or Science based field from accredited institution. 7 years minimum supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
7 years-experience in aerospace and/or automotive manufacturingInvestment Casting manufacturing experienceAPICS CPIM/CSCP certificationMaster's degree from accredited institution Experience in a Union environment
