Exciting Job Opportunity:

We are currently in search of a skilled Traffic Manager to spearhead a team focused on delivering top-notch traffic engineering projects. As the Traffic Manager, you will take charge of guiding a project team through traffic project development, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget, in addition to ensuring quality, managing risks, and resources effectively. Furthermore, you will play a key role in supporting our client expansion efforts by collaborating with various counties in Minnesota.

As a pivotal member of our team, you will be tasked with:

  • Leading pursuit efforts for transportation and traffic-focused projects catering to clients such as MnDOT, Counties, and municipalities
  • Managing traffic projects throughout study, design, and development phases
  • Coordinating with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality work to clients at the state and county levels
  • Representing Sambatek in meetings with clients, counties, cities, and other stakeholders
  • Engaging in business development activities, including pursuits and proposals
  • Providing mentorship to support staff and contributing to strategic hires

Qualifications:

  • Holding a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in traffic/transportation engineering
  • Possession of a PE in Civil Engineering, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (PTOE license is a plus)
  • Previous experience with Synchro/SimTraffic and/or VISSIM is highly preferred
  • Active involvement in professional organizations at local, statewide, or national levels
  • A track record of exceeding expectations, cultivating client relationships, and demonstrating strong networking skills
  • Familiarity with traffic engineering software and projects involving various transportation modes
  • Excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of industry standards
  • Proficiency in preparing proposals, contracts, budgets, and schedules

Work Environment:

  • Primary work setting is in an office environment
  • Occasional requirement to handle equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
