The Delivery Enablement (DE) team supports internal stakeholders by providing a robust operational backbone across TAS, TES, OCFO, PI, IM, IB and TRS. The team includes Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Marketing, Data Analytics, Accounting & Finance and Delivery Excellence. As Portage Point continues to scale the DE team is laser focused on scalability, quality and automation.

The Senior Associate, Accounting & Finance role at Portage Point Partners represents a unique opportunity for a highly capable professional to assume a wide set of responsibilities and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role is the second in our finance organization and represents a distinctive opportunity for uninhibited personal and professional development. This individual will report directly to the Controller and will own critical accounting processes to maintain a best-in-class accounting function. The Senior Associate, Accounting & Finance should be prepared to work within a small, collaborate team environment to manage discrete work streams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform key areas of month end closing process
  • Support FP&A processes including internal and external financial reporting and budget versus actuals analysis
  • Prepare monthly KPI reporting and dashboards
  • Support annual budgeting process and assist with development of rolling forecast process
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics to implement automations across finance and accounting processes
  • Maintain and evolve day to day aspects of the finance and accounting function, including invoicing and collections management, accounts payable and administering critical systems
  • Support equity, compensation, and 401(k) program administration
  • Assist with regulatory reporting requirements
  • Support external audit and tax professionals
  • Share and manage best practices as well as lead internal trainings where required
  • Support talent acquisition and firm development efforts
  • Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate program
  • Interested in a team-based culture that involves in office four days per week
  • Two to three years of experience at a public accounting firm
  • Valid CPA status
  • Strong desire to be a part of and contribute to the growth of a high performing team dedicated to unfettered individual and firm level achievements
  • Ability to successfully work in a small, collaborative team environment
  • High degree of maturity with a proven ability to interact with key stakeholders
  • Effectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formatting
  • Eagerness to be responsive at all times
  • Proven track-record of success in high pressure, time-constrained environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong e-mail etiquette
  • Top-tier organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit
